All young children in Mesa County will be
emotionally
healthy.
|
 |
In partnership with families and caregivers, the
Social
Emotional Wellbeing Committee will champion emotional
well being through the creation of a system that
educates, identifies, and intervenes to assure all young
children have the foundation to form appropriate
attachments, emotional development, trust and self-regulation.
|
 |
- The community values the emotional well being of
its children.
- A coordinated, affordable, seamless system of care exists.
- Children form appropriate attachments, emotional development,
trust and self-regulation.
- Children are emotionally ready for school and for society.
Project Bloom operates in Mesa County as part of the
community’s Early Childhood Partnership. It is one of five
freestanding committees and is called the Social
Emotional Wellbeing Committee. It was formed in 2000
to address the mental health needs of children in the
county.

 |
We have many active community members with parents at
the top of the list. In addition, we work with Early
Childhood Connections, Healthy Steps, Colorado West
Regional Mental Health Center, Mesa County Health
Department, Mesa Developmental Services, Hilltop,
School District #51, Head Start, Mesa County
Department of Human Services, Resource and Referral, Quality Care &
Education Coalition, and private
practice therapists from the community.
